Welcome to Gold Beach
An idyllic coastal town full of outdoor adventure
Nestled along the coast, just off scenic highway 101, Gold Beach is perfect for those seeking solitude and adventure in the great outdoors. From the sun-kissed ocean to the wild Rogue River, Gold Beach is truly a paradise.
Gold Beach is aptly named for the riches found in the Rogue River after the height of the California Gold Rush. Prospectors flocked to the area, but no rush lasts forever, and as the gold died out, the area’s industries became centered on the water. While salmon fishing boomed for a while, the economy is now more recreational, with fishing of all sorts, river exploration, and camping along the banks.
